2012 started pretty blank. My main focus was to just keep going, keep doing what I was doing. Making new work was really at the forefront of my mind and to secure new commissions and spread my wings a little. These came back from the framers recently...   I think they work quite well and I'm definitely appreciating them against the Timorous Beasties wallpaper.  I've been experimenting with different framing options for the sculptures for a while... I decided to frame some of my newer smaller sculptures to see what they would look like.  Here is the result. These sculptures are new and don't even have a name yet.  They remind me of shells, or even starfish. Here we are, I've finished my new map books, which are just like the old map books except these ones have navy blue buckram instead of the green paper spines.  Oh how I love buckram!  Buckram is used to cover books.  It has both a fabric and paper quality which means it's hard wearing and easy to cut accurately. Each book is made with second hand airmail envelopes and a page from a world atlas.
